Arvi/Colocasia or also known as Taro root, is a thick, tuber stalk and an important part of global cuisines and diets. It is oval in shape and has a hairy coating. It has a white flesh which is edible and can be used as fried or in curries. It is considered one of the first cultivated plants in human history. It is low in fat and cholestrol and rich in vitamin A,C,E, B6, and minerals like calcium, potassium and phosphorus.
